Patricia Johnson (Johnson) Fox

Patricia J. Fox, 84, passed away February 24, 2015 in Salisbury.  She was born in Cambridge, MD on October 27, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Theodore Olin Johnson and Delma Bramble Johnson.  Her husband, Clarence Pierce Fox, preceded her in death on January 20, 2001.

Mrs. Fox attended school in Dorchester County.  She graduated from Salisbury State Teachers College in 1951.  She retired in 1983 after teaching 30 years at Fruitland and Pinehurst Elementary in Wicomico County.  She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, the Maryland State Retired Teachers Association and the Wicomico County Retired Teachers Association.  She was a member of the Salisbury State University Alumni Association.  Since 1962, she had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and for many years, a member of its Martha Circle.  For a number of years, she has been an advocate at the Holly Center.

She is survived by a daughter Linda Hearn and her husband Robert of Tyaskin, one niece, one nephew and three cousins.  A sister, Betty Foxwell, preceded her in death, as did her loving dog Patches.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 27, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury with Rev. Dale Vroman officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park in Cambridge.  Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Pat to Trinity United Methodist Church, 112 High Street, Salisbury, MD 21801.  Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home P.A. in Cambridge.
