Patricia "Patti" West Blankley

Patricia “Patti” West Blankley, 91, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2024 at the Dixon House in Easton. She was born in York, PA on December 4, 1933 and was a daughter of the late Albert Leon Harbold and Dorothy Wiest Harbold.

She graduated from Nursing School in 1952 and became an RN. On September 11, 1954 she married William H. West who passed away on April 25, 1994. On May 26, 2001 she married Joseph W. Blankley, Jr. who passed away on May 9, 2016. Mrs. Blankley worked many years at Dorchester General Hospital. She was involved in the Dorchester Center of the Arts where she served as a director, Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, and the Robin Hood Shop. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and later attended Spedden United Methodist Church. 

She is survived by a son H. William West and wife Kin of Cambridge; two daughters Mary Benjamin and husband Dave of Cambridge and Barbara Robinson and husband Pastor Bob Robinson of Province Forge, VA, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a stepson James W. Blankley and wife Linda Farr of Mooresville, NC, and a stepdaughter Barbara Marchesani of Massachusetts. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Blankley is preceded in death by a brother who passed away at the age of 2 years old who was also known as Buzzy. 

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with her son in law Pastor Bob Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Spedden Seward Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Dorchester Center of the Arts, 321 High St., Cambridge, MD 21613; or to the Robin Hood Shop, 416 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
