Patricia J. "Patsy" Phillips, 77, of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born in Cambridge on January 26, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Ralph Oscar Willey and Eileen Hurley Linthicum.
Patricia attended schools in Dorchester County. She also attended and graduated from Delmarva Beauty Academy. She was employed at Europa Salon in Cambridge until she retired in 2012. She enjoyed traveling, cross word puzzles, the outdoors, and was also an avid football fan.
She is survived by her husband David Phillips, whom she married on May 31, 1971, of Salisbury, a son Ralph Whitten and wife Jody of Laurel, DE, two daughters Ruthanna Lucas and husband John of East New Market and Rene Adkins and husband Patrick of Salisbury, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Carolyn Willey of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Phillips is preceded in death by a son Robert D. Whitten, as well as two sisters Joyce Stokes and Cleo Foxwell.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Adkins, John Lucas, Kyle Whitten, David Whitten, Joseph D'Adamo, Neil D'Adamo, and Tommy Foxwell.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Randall Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Rd., Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
