Patricia Ann (Parker) Riggins

Patricia A. Riggins, 70, of Delmar, DE passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Cambridge on February 21, 1946 and was a daughter of the late Walter Allen Parker and Frances Brannock Parker.

She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1964 and attended and graduated from Chesapeake College in 1992. On July 3, 1966, she married Roy Riggins. Mrs. Riggins worked at Airpax with 28 years of service and retired in 2008. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, shopping on the internet and watching her grandson. Mrs. Riggins was a past member of Taylors Island VFC and White Haven United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Roy Riggins of Delmar, DE, a son Allen Riggins and wife Kathy of Salisbury, a daughter Holly Anderson and husband Rodger of Taylors Island, a grandson Adam Anderson, a sister Mary Todd and husband Keith of East New Market and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Riggins is preceded in death by a brother Walter Allen Parker, Jr., and a sister Wanda Parker.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1 pm at Old Trinity Churchyard with Rev. Shawn Short officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947 or to the Delmar Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 143, Delmar, DE 19940. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
