Patricia S. Willey

Patricia S. Willey, 70 of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her home. She had been failing in health for a number of years. She was born on September 17, 1938 and was a daughter of Edgar and Sarah Short Spear.

She was raised and attended public schools in Cambridge. On June 23, 1954 she married George W. Willey, Jr. She was a homemaker and together the couple had two daughters, Bonnie Sue Willey and Katherine Jean Willey Gullion, both of Cambridge. Her fondest memories included a cross a�" country road trip with her brother and sister as well as catching soft crabs as a child with her mother and sister. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and reading Sylvia Brown books.

She is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Sue Willey and Katherine Jean Willey Gullion both of Cambridge, her brother Edgar B. Spear, Jr. and wife Lela of New Mexico, her sister Betty S. Kowitski and husband Nick of Cambridge, a granddaughter Amy Lynn Gullion Pitrone and a "grandson" Joseph Cory Pitrone both of Church Creek and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death and now joins her husband, George W. Willey, Jr., who passed away on September 21, 2002. Her mother and father also preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
