Pauline E. Salisbury, 77 of Hurlock passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Cambridge on February 4, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Herbert Ball, Sr. and Lois Harrison Ball.
She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1953. Mrs. Salisbury was a group leader at Airpax for forty one years. On December 16, 1978, she married James R. Salisbury. She enjoyed watching western movies. Mrs. Salisbury was a life member of the Choptank Memorial Post #7460 VFW, a member of the American Post #91 Ladies Auxiliary and Cambridge Moose Lodge #1211.
She is survived by her husband James R. Salisbury of Hurlock, a daughter Phyllis A. Lewis of Hurlock, a granddaughter Heather D. Edgar and husband Michael Edgar, Jr. and their family of Hurlock, a stepson James T. Salisbury and wife Jessica and their family of Newark, NY and Cambridge, MD, a stepdaughter Janel Salisbury and husband Bryan Van Steenburgh of Fulton, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins in law Jari and Lindy Robbins, Joyce and Van Baker and Janet Steeves and family all of Maine. Besides her parents, Mrs. Salisbury is preceded in death by her first husband Melvin R. Lewis, Sr., two sons Melvin R. Lewis, Jr. and Robin L. Lewis, a step daughter Tina Weir, and two brothers Herbert Ball, Jr. and Charles North.
Pallbearers will be Michael Edgar, Jr., Caleb Frampton, Brian Salisbury, Christopher Schuldt, Brian Van Steenburgh and James T. Salisbury.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. David Wooten, Jr. and Rev. Sam Brisco, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
