Paul Ray Douglas, Jr., 69, was born in Frederick, MD on October 8, 1953. He was the son of Mattie "Louise" Douglas (Carter) and the late Paul Ray Douglas Sr.
To many, Paul was known as "Fuzzy". Paul was very active in sports for most of his life and was known for his fierce competitiveness. Whether it was Football, Basketball, Softball, Bowling, Golf, etc., he loved playing and was there to win. Paul's favorite teams were the "Dallas Cowboys" and the "New York Yankees" and if you saw him, he was usually dressed to represent, right down to his Nike footwear (of course, this would be for Jordan).
Paul's passion was "fixing up" older vehicles. His pride and joy was the "NO FEAR" Titian. It was no surprise to see him wiping of vehicles daily. His father would say, "a fly would slide right off, if it ever tried to land on your vehicle".
Paul was a plumber by trade. He first started with Doty & Sons, was later employed with Steve Marshall, and finished his career managing his own business "Douglas Plumbing". It was not until his deteriorating health (in 2021), that he decide to retire.
Despite Paul's size and strength, he was a gentle giant and admired by many for his kindness, smile, and professionalism, not to mention his sense of humor. He loved animals and would go out of his way to ensure they were safe and protected from harm.
Paul was born again and was happy to share his love for the LORD, to anyone who would listen.
A private ceremony was held, with family upon Paul's passing.
Paul is survived by his daughter Angela Douglas, his mother Mattie "Louise" Douglas (Carter), a sister Crystal Tanner (Douglas) and husband Tommy Tanner, a nephew Austin Vogel, his aunt Bessie Evans, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members in Tennessee.
