Peggy Ann Brown Broll MacPherson of Easton, Maryland passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her daughter's home in Glebe Villa. She was 82. Born December 20, 1932 in Easton, she was the youngest daughter of the late Rudolph Stocksdale and Anna Lighter Brown.
After graduating from Easton High School, Peggy worked at the telephone company, Calvin Perry's car dealership and assisted her sister-in-law with secretarial work at W. H. Coleman and Son excavation business. She worked as a receptionist for many years at a local dentist's practice and later in life as a unit secretary at the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital in Easton.
Peggy always had a great love for children and family. When her own daughters were of school age, Peggy began work as a teacher's aide and librarian at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School. As her daughters moved into high school, Peggy became very active in the SOS (Support Our Sports) parents association. She could often be found helping to build floats for Homecoming, decorating for various dances, or attending athletic events. Later in life, when Peggy became a grandmother, she took great pride in being a source of support in her grandchildren's lives.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Kim Broll Marks, and Tammy S. Broll (Deb) of Easton; her grandchildren Arielle Marks of Olympia, Washington and Dylan Marks of Pentwater, Michigan and her sister Dorothy Conrad Alexander of Denver, Colorado, as well as numerous nephews, a niece, cousins and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her loving brother Kenneth D. Brown(1994).
Final arrangements for her last journey are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge, Md. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all of Peggy's caregivers who made this, her last journey, an easier one.
