Peggy A. Bramble, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on August 16, 1936 and was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Oneita Dayton Bramble.
Mrs. Bramble graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1954. On May 17, 1957, she married John M. Bramble, Jr. She was a house wife and later worked for the Dorchester County Public Schools in the cafeteria at Glasgow and Sandy Hill. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Bramble was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, Retired Teachers Association, and AARP Dorchester Chapter.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Bramble, Jr. of Cambridge, a son John Bramble III and wife Vickie of Cambridge, two granddaughters Allison Marshall and husband Scott of Cambridge, and Erin King and husband Matthew of Cambridge, four great grandchildren Noah Marshall, Elijah King, Cecilia King and John Luke Marshall, a brother L. Donald Bramble and wife Peggy of Oklahoma, a sister in law Dot Bramble of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Bramble is preceded in death by a son Bruce A. Bramble, four brothers Frederick Bramble, Irvin C. Bramble, Sr., Emerson Bramble and Charles R. Bramble.
A walk through visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 11 to 12 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, c/o Scott Daniels, 205 Maryland Avenue, Cambridge, MD 21613.
