Phyllis T. Marshall, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on January 16, 1930 and was a daughter of the late George W. and Lorena Tregoe Taylor.
Mrs. Marshall attended schools in Cambridge. On August 9, 1963 she was married to Levin M. Marshall. She had worked as a hairdresser and had operated her own beauty shop in Cambridge for a number of years. She was a member of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Cambridge. Mrs. Marshall enjoyed fishing, traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Levin M. Marshall of Cambridge, a daughter Deborah L. Newman of Holiston, Mass, four sons Herbert L. Dozier III of Flagstaff, AZ, Ricky Dozier of Chicago, Ill, Daniel A. Dozier of Chesapeake, VA and Kevin M. Marshall of Cambridge, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Leroy Taylor of Pocomoke and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marshall is preceded in death by a son Randy Dozier, five sisters Beulah Willey, Sarah Rumbley, Helen Cox, Alice Smith and Mildred Peterson, two brothers Fleetwood Taylor and Emerson Taylor.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock with Rev. Paul Dorman officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dorchester County Humane Society, P.O. Box 132, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to the Pleasant Day Adult Day Care, 2474 Cambridge Beltway, Cambridge, MD 21613.
