Phyllis Ann (Cheesman) Young

Phyllis A. Young, 70, of Linkwood passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at UMSMC at Easton.  She was born in Big Springs, Texas on July 24, 1950 to the late James Cheesman, Jr., and Onie Mansfield Cheesman.

Phyllis graduated from North Dorchester High School.  On September 14, 1972, she married Wiley Young III, with whom she shared a wonderful 47 year marriage.  She worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant with Creative Custom Building in Easton.  Phyllis enjoyed reading a variety of genres, and she was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Cambridge.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Wiley Young III; their daughter Crystal Summers and her husband  John; her brothers Gary Cheesman and wife Linda, Gene Cheesman and wife Paulette, and Ronnie Cheesman and wife Jeanette; and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Glen Cheesman.

A walk-through visitation will be held at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 11 AM until 12 PM.  Burial will be private.  Due to the current pandemic, face coverings and social distancing will be required.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
