Ralph G. "Glen" Todd

Ralph G. "Glen" Todd, Jr., 59 of Wingate passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in Cambridge on July 8, 1953 and the son of Joanne Marsh Todd and the late Ralph G. Todd, Sr.

Glen graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1971. On May 19, 1974, he married the former Sharon Parks. Glen worked as a waterman in his earlier years. Later he was employed at Kraft Foods and Nabisco Foods. At the time his health started to fail, he was employed with Interstate Container in Cambridge. Glen enjoyed sports and playing with his grandchildren and singing in many churches along with singing in the church choir. His greatest love was his family. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, St. Thomas United Methodist Church and a member of Graphic Arts Industry Union.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Todd of Wingate, a son Justin Todd and wife Jeanell of East New Market, two granddaughters Kailie and Aubrie, his mother Joanne Todd of Cambridge, two sisters Glenda McCarter and husband Tim of Cambridge and Amy Bennett and husband Jackie of East New Market, a sister in law Donna Pyle and husband John of East New Market and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Glen is preceded in death by an infant sister Deborah Todd.

Pallbearers will be John Pyle, Allen Smith, Benjamin McCarter, Tim McCarter, Jackie Bennett, Bruce Meekins, Sonny Ruark and Earl Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Reginald Todd, Darren Todd, Andrew McCarter and Ryan McCarter.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev.'s Douglas M. Ridley and David L. Kreek officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Mary Todd, General Delivery, Crocheron, MD 21627 or to St. Thomas United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Phyllis Mills, 1817 Crocheron Rd., Bishops Head, MD 21672.
