Raymond F. Murrells

Raymond F. Murrells, 91 of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in England on January 10, 1922 and was a son of the late Cecil and Ethel Greene Murrells.
Mr. Murrells attended schools in London, England. He moved to the United States in 1956. On December 29, 1979, he married the former Catherine Price. Mr. Murrells was employed at Armco Steel Company in Baltimore.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Murrells of Cambridge, three stepsons Michael Shelton of Manchester, MD, Bruce Shelton of Texas and David Knight of South Carolina, three grandchildren Samantha Shelton, Bruce Shelton and Mark Shelton, four great grandchildren and a brother Tony Murrells of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, Mr. Murrells is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Meadow Branch Cemetery, 821 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, MD 21157.
