R. Diane (Marshall) White

Diane Marshall White, 78, of Deal Island passed away on Wednesday, February 1 2023 at Mallard Bay Care Center following a brief illness. Diane was born on March 22, 1944 in Cambridge and was a daughter of the late Ruth Dayton Marshall and W. Ralph Marshall.

She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1962. Diane worked in the office many years in Washington, D.C. for Sears. She later worked for Fahrney’s Pens in Washington, D.C. Diane married Stephen White, Sr. Diane was very interested in genealogy, was an avid reader and gardener and liked to crochet.

She is survived by her husband Stephen White, Sr., a sister Clara Mae Stephens, nephew Glenn S. Stephens and wife Tina, a niece Cheryl Adams and husband Mike, a great niece Rebecca Adams and fiancée Jimmy, a great-great nephew Adam Conrad, several stepchildren Stephen White, Jr., Rebecca France, Thomas White, Lisa Bowne and Tina White and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 1 pm at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 9150 Deal Island Road, Wenona, MD 21821 with Rev. David Webster officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 54, Deal Island, MD 21821 or to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
