Rebecca “Becky” North Lowe-Trice, of Trappe, MD, formally of Bucktown and Griffins Neck, passed peacefully on June 4, 2016 with Hospice at home surrounded by her family. Born November 12, 1937, Becky was preceded in life by her loving parents, Herbert Riley North, Sr. and Oseola Abbott North.
Becky received her realtor’s license in the early 80’s. She worked full time for Western Publishing as a Navigation Information Analyst and Quality Control for 45 years until her retirement in 2008. After, she started full-time selling real estate at MacSorley Real Estate LLC in Cambridge and then with Exit Latham Reality in Easton where she worked until her health declined. She married Walter Francis Trice, Jr. on October 10, 1996 after her 1st husband, William Joseph Lowe passed away on February 9, 1993. Becky was a member of Easton Church of God, the Cambridge Moose Lodge #1211 and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 91. She was also a member of the Chesapeake Classic Car Club of Easton. She enjoyed shopping hours with her granddaughters and her longtime friend, Brenda Duff, especially at Kohl's. She also enjoyed gardening with her son. She loved to eat out and enjoyed meeting people at McDonalds almost every day. She loved RV camping with family and venturing to car shows in several states.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Walter Francis Trice, Jr. of Trappe, only son, Billy Joe Lowe and fiancé, Leslie Millspaugh of Bucktown, 2 step children from her 1st marriage, Linda Ann Lowe and William Craig Lowe, 3 step children from 2nd marriage, Jennifer L. Trice, Alex W. Trice, Adam W. Trice and wife Anna, 2 granddaughters, Brooke Nicole Lowe and Rebecca May Lowe, granddog, Bretta, step grandchildren, Amanda Green, Henry A. Trice and soon to be born Emma Trice, 5 step grandchildren from 1st marriage Leaf A. Lowe, Eric Lowe, Jay Davenport, Anthony Davenport, two siblings Herbert R. North, Jr. and Thelma E. Cook, her longtime best friend, Brenda Duff and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and 1st husband, she is predeceased by her sister, Miriam J. Willey.
On Thursday, June 9, 2016, viewing at 12 pm. with funeral service at 1 pm. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor G. Keith Maxwell officiating. Burial at Dorchester Memorial Park following services. Pallbearers will be Leaf Lowe, Eric Lowe, Bruce MacSorley, Alex Trice, Hobert Duff and Brian Kimmey. Honorary pallbearer is Alan Jolicoeur.
The family also would like to thank all the care givers assisting with Becky during her short battle with cancer. A special thanks to her granddaughter, Brooke Nicole Lowe, who was there caring for Becky night and day from the time she came home till the day she went to be with the Lord.
