Rebecca "Becky" Lynne Jorette

Rebecca “Becky” Lynne Jorette, 58, of Secretary was born on January 10, 1965 and joined many loved ones in Heaven on June 10, 2023. She was born in Anne Arundel County and was a daughter of Margaret Shriver Jorette and the late John E. Jorette, Sr.

Becky graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1983. She had worked in the past at Sub City and later at Kay's at the Airport. Becky loved to cook and was known for her chicken pot-pie and pretzel salad which was always a request at every gathering. She loved cats especially her “baby” Thelma. But above all she loved being a GiGi to Logan and Charlie.

She is survived by her daughter Maryjo Paul and husband Cody and their two children Logan and Charlie Paul, her mother Margaret Jorette, a sister Irene Demarest and husband Thomas, two brothers John Jorette, Jr. and wife Pamela and Kenneth Jorette and wife Angla, her former husband Henry Short and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Jayson Bleyer officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
