Reginald P. Todd, Sr

Reginald P. Todd, Sr., 87, of East New Market passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in Crapo on December 16, 1924 to the late Sangston and Florence Bradford Todd.

Mr. Todd attended schools at Crapo. He had served in the US Army in WW II. On January 3, 1948 he was married to the former Doris Mae Rosetta who passed away on September 7, 2008. Some years ago he had worked on the water with his father on the Fulton T. Mister and later as Captain of the Edna E. Lockwood, but most of his life he was a painter. Mr. Todd had worked with his wife operating Doris Mae's Restaurant in downtown Cambridge for almost 30 years. He was a member of the Choptank Memorial Post # 7460 VFW, the American Legion Post #91 and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Delmarva Chapter #570. Mr. Todd enjoyed spending time with his dog Winnie II.

He is survived by two daughters Glenda T. Wroten of Cambridge and Pamela J. Pitt and her husband Dennis Pitt of Hurlock, a son Reginald P. Todd, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Federalsburg, three granddaughters Melissa Larmore of Cambridge, Sandra Todd of Federalsburg and Jennifer Orris of Seaford, a grandson Christopher Abbott of Cambridge, two great grandsons Jake and Jaden and one great granddaughter Destiny. He is also survived by one sister Regina Harding of Cambridge and two brothers Louis Todd and wife Norma of Hurlock and Steve Todd and wife Helen of Parsonburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Todd Orris Russell, three sisters Anna Mae Todd, Charlotte Rue, Lenora McMahan and two brothers Sangston Todd, Jr. and William Todd.

Pallbearers will be Chris Abbott, Todd MacGillivray, Martin Harding, Greg Rue, Charles McMahan and Denny Todd.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Fred Bahr and Rev. David Wooten officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 or to Mallard Bay Care Center Activity Department, 520 Glenburn Ave., Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
