Rev. D. Pardee Bramble

Rev. D. Pardee Bramble, 89, of Bishops Head passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Bishops Head on June 27, 1925 to the late James R. G. and Mila Moore Bramble.
Rev. Pardee grew up in Bishops Head and attended Crapo High School until his father asked him to help with the family expenses. On September 21, 1946, he married the former Louise Mills. Shortly after their marriage Rev. Pardee went on to get his G.E.D. He worked for many places over the years, working construction with Warren Moore, M&H Construction in Salisbury, he worked in the canning shop at Phillips Packing, but he was a long time self employed carpenter. Rev. Pardee was the minister for Chateau Community Church for almost 25 years. He enjoyed swimming and ice skating in his younger years. Rev. Pardee loved animals and loved to make new friends. He was an honorary member of the Lakes-Straits Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Senior Council in Cambridge.
Rev. Pardee is survived by his wife of 68 years, Louise Bramble, a nephew Wallace Pricthett and many other great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters Rhodella Pritchett and Eulalia Woodland and three infant brothers.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Dawson, Earl Todd, Jamie Pritchett, Snooks Windsor, Billy Short and Donald Cannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Pritchett, Frank Knauer, Ted Creighton, Raymond Johnson, Dennis Ewell, Daryl Harmon and Ray Coates.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. with Pastor George W. Wheatley, Jr., Pastor David Stewart and Rev. Michael LaClair officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
