Richard H. Norfolk, Jr.

Richard H. Norfolk, Jr. (Rick) 66, of East New Market, MD passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 10, 1958 and was the son of Joyce Kimble Phillips and the late Richard H. Norfolk, Sr.

Rick graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1975. On June 19, 1989, he married the former Angela Tipton. He retired from UPS after working there for 33 years. Rick enjoyed construction, working outside and in the garden, going camping, listening to music, sitting on the beach, and spending time with his family. He was a member of AA for 36 years. 

He is survived by his wife Angela Norfolk, his children Wyatt Norfolk (Jordan), Rachele Sokolis (Chris), Derrick Norfolk (Angie), Joshua VanMeter (Holli), Amy Norfolk, and Chasidy Dodson (BJ), eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Wyatt Norfolk, Derrick Norfolk, Bill Tipton, Chris Sokolis, Jeff Landry, and Chad Mothersell. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11 am at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Tonya McClain officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
