Robert E. Hurley, Jr., 30, of Hurlock passed away suddenly on Friday, December 25, 2020 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on August 5, 1990 to Robert E. Hurley, Sr. and Dawn T. Jester Hurley.
Robert, better known as Bobby, attended schools in Dorchester County. He worked with his father for several years at the family business, R.E. Hurley and Sons Floor Covering. Bobby had such a strong love for his son Benjamin and for babies and animals. Anytime he walked outside an animal would find him. Bobby was an artistic soul. He loved drawing and tattoos, and even did many of his own tattoos.
Besides his parents, Bobby is survived by his son Benjamin Hurley of East New Market; sisters Katie Bloodsworth and husband Shane of Cambridge, and Kristen Jester of Federalsburg; aunts and uncles Lisa (Bob) Windsor, Michelle Wheatley, Carolyn (Kent) Elzey, Bev (Jeff) Beavers, special aunt Betty Robertson, grandparents Bob and Bonnie Peters, Paul and Peggy Jester, and a great grandfather Melvin Willin; nieces and nephews Corey, Maddy, Khloe, Shane W., and Amiya; special cousins Allen (Amber), Leah, Missy, Ronnie (Whitney), and B.J. (Brandi); as well as several other extended family members. He is also survived by a special friend Core Scott and his special dog Sadie. Robert is preceded in death by maternal great grandmother Georgia Willin, maternal grand parents Claudel and Marguerite Sammons paternal grandfather Fulton Hurley, paternal great grandparents Norris and Louise Saunders, aunt Kathy Watkins and a uncle Ronnie Hurley and his dog Zeus.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
