Robert "Rob" R. Foxwell, Sr.

Robert “Rob” R. Foxwell, Sr., 60, of East New Market passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. He was born in Cambridge on July 14, 1963, and was a son of Charlotte Knowles Foxwell and the late Bobby Wilson Foxwell.

Rob graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1981. He worked in the family business of Foxwell's Land Improvement. Rob was married to the former Amye Fitzhugh. His true passions were watching sports, operating heavy equipment, tinkering with Decoys and eating crabs with his family.

He is survived by his wife Amye Foxwell, a son Robert Foxwell, Jr. (Amanda), grandson Waylon, his mother Charlotte Foxwell, a brother Brad Foxwell (Laura) a niece Christie Foxwell, stepchildren Kimberly Keene (Mark), Lisa Keene (Tommy), Cody Thomas (Melissa), step grandchildren Corey Keene (Andie), Stella Jane Thomas, Madeline Thomas, Brianna Nicholas and numerous cousins. Besides his father, Rob is preceded in death by a brother Steve Foxwell and an Uncle Glenn Foxwell.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 22nd, from 1pm – 4 pm at The American Legion Dorchester Post #91. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Chesapeake Wildlife Heritage to help honor Robs love of the outdoor. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
