Rodney Joseph Webb, Sr.

Rodney J. Webb, Sr., 72, of East New Market passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Cambridge on August 8, 1942 and was a son of the late Harvey O. and Ella Bell Webb.

He attended schools in Dorchester County. Mr. Webb retired from the Eastern Shore State Hospital. He enjoyed going fishing with his great nephews; Gage Covey, Jamison and LJ Harrington. Mr. Webb also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. He was a member of the Cambridge Moose Lodge and Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW.

He is survived by two children Rodney Webb, Jr. and wife Sarah of Cambridge and Teresa Webb of Salisbury, two grandchildren Jason Webb of Georgia and Karla Webb of Cambridge, a brother Billy Webb of Cambridge, two sisters Kaye Harrington of East New Market and Doris Aaron of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special friend Mrs. Peggy Kato. Besides his parents, Mr. Webb is preceded in death by two brothers Oliver Webb and John W. Webb.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at noon at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev.  David L. Kreek officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21802.
