Ronald Stewart Green owner of Green Willow Farms, Westminster Maryland, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 24th at the age of 71.
Born September 25, 1946 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Stewart and Louise Green. Ronnie was the beloved husband of Carolyn for 43 years and best friend to his dog Beau. Ronnie is survived by his sister Becky Burkholder and her husband Ron, as well as Aunt Dorothy Watkins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronnie and his wife Carolyn were co-owners of Green Willow Farms which specialized in breeding, sales and racing Thoroughbreds.
As a member of the Maryland Agricultural Commission representing the equine industry, he and Carolyn toured Russian Thoroughbred facilities on a trade mission. This resulted in the advising and purchasing of multiple Maryland Thoroughbreds for shipment to Russia.
A Celebration of Ronnie’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Burrier Queen Funeral Home 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, Md. 21784. A graveside service to follow at Crestlawn Cemetery, 2150 Mount View. Rd., Marriottsville, Md. 21104.
