Rose E. Wroten, 82, of Trappe passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was born in Cambridge on June 10, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Robert J. "Bob" Sinclair, Jr. and Grace Hughes Sinclair.
Mrs. Wroten graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1946. On October 15, 1952, she married Robert E. "Fatz" Wroten who passed away on October 30, 1995. She worked and retired from Craig's Drug Store. Mrs. Wroten enjoyed reading, her church and the love of her family. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and served on the board of the Adele Tyler Scholarship.
She is survived by two daughters Robin Wroten Harrison and husband James of Easton and Gayla Heather Wroten Thomas and husband Bobby of Cambridge, a son Robert E. Wroten, Jr. and wife Joyce of Trappe, two grandchildren Stacy Christensen and Lance Willey, three great grandchildren Danielle Christensen, Mark Christensen and Yeva Willey, a brother in law William M. "Babe" Wroten of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wroten is preceded in death by a brother Robert Sinclair and two sisters Ann Seward and Ella J. Brown.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Thomas, Jim Harrison, David Griffith, Christopher Langrall, Lance Willey and Chuck Kelly.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Jay Hurley officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8.
