Roy Prettyman Todd, 77, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 24th, 2025 due to an intracranial hemorrhage.
Born in Cambridge, Roy was predeceased by his father, Bradye P. Todd and mother Mary Blanche (Lowry) Todd. Roy grew up in Crocheron MD. After attending Crapo Elementary and South Dorchester High School, he attended Staunton Military Academy, Eastern Pilgrim Wesleyan College and Messiah College.
Roy met his wife, the former Barbara Lynn Johnson, at Salisbury State College in 1969. They were married for 53 wonderful years and shared four beautiful and talented children: Toby, Laura, Travis (Mamie), and Deenie (Aris), and four adored grandchildren: Manny, Bradie P., Bonnie and Charlotte.
Growing up, Roy worked side by side with his mom and dad in Crocheron in their seafood packing business. In 1986, he branched out to the restaurant business and became the proud owner of Ocean Odyssey Seafood Restaurant. He poured 33 years of blood, sweat and tears into making it what it is today and retired in 2019.
He enjoyed every minute of his short retirement playing golf and softball, relaxing watching wildlife, watching funny sitcoms, napping and getting together with friends. His favorite moments of all were when the entire family could be together.
Roy was a hard worker and enjoyed life whether work or leisure and was admired and loved by all that knew him. Family will be receiving friends at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge on Saturday March 8th from 1pm to 3pm, followed by his Masonic and funeral service at 3pm. The family will be having a private burial at a later time.
