Russell G. Stack, Jr.

Russell G. Stack, Jr., 78, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born in Cambridge on October 18, 1936 and was a son of the late Russell G. and Ruth Bangert Stack.
Russell attended schools in Cambridge and later served in the U.S. Army. On August 9, 1958, he married the former Sarah Shepherd. Russell had worked for several different businesses and later was owner/operator of Town and Country Upholstery. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and building furniture.
He is survived by his wife Sarah Stack of Cambridge, a sister Nancy Hudson and companion Buck Travers of East New Market, a special niece Ruth Dayton Jeffries, a special nephew Michael Dayton and several other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Stack is preceded in death by a brother Gene Stack and two sisters Ruth Dayton and Constance Dodson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Alfred Taylor officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
