S. Mark Lewis

S. Mark Lewis, 46, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. He was born in Cambridge on August 26, 1962 and was a son of Joyce Hurley Mowery and the late Stanley N. Lewis.

Mark attended schools in Dorchester County. He worked with his brother Bruce at the Hoopers Island Gun Club. Mark had worked at Gootee's Marina, Cambridge Shipyard and at the time of his passing at Generation III Marina. Mark also worked on the water. On June 25, 2005 he married the former Joyce Anthony. Some of his hobbies were hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a past member of the Cambridge Moose Lodge.

He survived by his wife Joyce B. Lewis of Cambridge, three stepsons David Werner, Jr. of Federalsburg, Jeremy Werner and wife Nicki of Federalsburg and Brandon Werner of Cambridge, 4 grandchildren, his mother Joyce Mowery and husband Mike of Hoopers Island, two brothers Don Lewis and wife Peggy of Cambridge and Bruce Lewis of Hoopers Island and a sister Sandi Bellusci of Freeland, MD, a special friend Sean Raickle of Hudson, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a father in law and a brother in law. Mark is preceded in death by his father Stanley N. Lewis.

Pallbearers will be David Werner, Jeremy Werner, Brandon Werner, Joe Hayden, Frank Bell and Cory Lewis.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Larry Wroten officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
