Sandra (Smith) Hurley

Sandra (Sandy) Smith Hurley, 72, of Cambridge, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 2, 2020.  She was born in Cambridge on January 19, 1948 to the late Arthur Mace Smith and Doris Mae Bramble Smith.

Sandra attended schools in Cambridge.  She was very active with the First Baptist Church in Cambridge.  She loved her dogs (Jacc, Gipper and Annie), but really she loved any dog that she came across.  She enjoyed yard sales, and she loved seeing and being around other people.

She is survived by her daughter, Lieutenant Commander Karrie Lang, who is currently stationed in Naples, Italy, and her husband Barret, grandchildren Lexington and Indiana, a sister Constance Lewis, a nephew Hubert Brohawn, and many cousins.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

According to her wishes, Sandy’s body was donated to science.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
