Sharon L. (LeCompte) Dean

Sharon L. Dean, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Cambridge on June 5, 1942 and was a daughter of Elizabeth LeCompte and the late Howard LeCompte and was raised by her aunt Lena Mae Applegarth.

Mrs. Dean graduated from Cambridge High School. She was a beautician and worked at Beauty Fair. On September 23, 1961, she married Kent N. Collins, Sr. who passed away on June 12, 1990. On August 3, 1999, she married Wilbert S. Dean, Jr. who passed away on September 16, 2005. She enjoyed watching ice skating, reading, camping, boating and shopping. Mrs. Dean also enjoyed her companionship with her toy poodle Daisy.

She is survived by a daughter Stephanie Simmons and husband John of Church Creek, granddaughter Courtney Barnes and husband Wyatt of Eldorado, and half-brother H.T. LeCompte and wife Kathy of Michigan.

Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
