Shirl Lynn Dahan

Shirl Lynn Dahan, 62, of Easton, Maryland, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. Born on December 31, 1961, in Baltimore, Shirl was the cherished daughter of the late Benjamin Merryman Sr. and Joyce Smith Merryman Plunkett. 

Shirl was a 1980 graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School. Known for her kind heart and thoughtful nature, she found joy in collecting antiques, solving puzzles, and selflessly helping those around her. Above all, her two daughters, were her everything—the center of her world and the greatest joy in her life.

 Shirl is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Danielle Dahan and De’Ona Dahan, both of Orlando, Florida; her mother, Joyce Merryman Plunkett of Cambridge; and her four sisters, Rebecca Scott of Florida, Deanna Turillo of Kentucky, Christina Cannon of Cambridge, and Elizabeth Dawson of Virginia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Merryman Sr.; her brother, Benjamin Merryman Jr.; and her stepfather, Michael Plunkett. 

In accordance with Shirl’s wishes, no services will be held. The family is deeply grateful for the care and support provided by Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.

 Shirl’s love and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
