Shirley "Sonny" B. Keener

Shirley B. “Sonny” Keener, 71, of Madison passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015. He was born in West Virginia on December 23, 1943 to the late William and Ruby Taylor Keener.

Mr. Keener married the former Marlane E. Slone on August 12, 1962. He worked as a self-employed contractor for his business, The Three K’s. Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting guns.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Marlane E. Keener of Madison, three children Eddie Keener, Shirley Howard and husband Malcolm and David Keener and wife Melissa all of Madison, six grandchildren Justin Keener, Krystale Stouffer, Jimmy Stouffer and wife Courtney, Cody Cool, Emily Keener and Riley Keener, one great grandchild Martin Era, Jr. and four siblings Pauline Blanks, Irene Masirka, Debbie Grillo and Kenny Keener.

Per Sonny’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
