Stacey Ann Young, 44, of Hurlock, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at her home with her loving family surrounding her. She was born in Cumberland on July 1, 1976 to Leonard Lloyd Rose and Anita Kay Mattingly Campbell.
Stacey graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1994. She had aspirations to become a nurse, and was currently enrolled in Chesapeake Community College’s Nursing Program. Stacey was always true to herself, whether it be her love of 80’s music to her sense of fashion. She was an avid reader, and especially loved any Nora Roberts novel. More than anything, she loved her family. Her children were the light of her life, and she was always family centered. Her daughter Willow loved painting nails with her mom and going to the Renaissance Festival. Stacey will always be remembered as such a kind and loving person.
Stacey is survived by her husband Darien Young of Hurlock; her son William Max Vogel, Jr., of Federalsburg; daughter Willow Young of Hurlock; her mother Anita Kay Campbell of Hurlock; sisters Anita Marie Arnold of Cumberland and Teresa Renee Baker of Federalsburg; her father Leonard Rose and his family; as well as several other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her grandparents John Mattingly and Anna White.
The family will have a private celebration of Stacey’s life. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. to help defray funeral costs.
