Susan L. Pete

Susan L. Pete, 75, of East New Market passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Delmar Nursing Home. She was born on March 14, 1949 to the late Ulman W. “Buster” White Jr. and Gertrude White. 

Mrs. Pete graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1967. On October 22, 1967 she married Roland C. Pete, Jr. She worked over 20 years at Super Fresh in Cambridge. Mrs. Pete enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, watching TV, and playing games. She was very active in Relay For Life.

She is survived by her husband Roland Pete, Jr. of East New Market, four daughters Shelia Hickman and husband Mike of East New Market, Cheryl Abrams of East New Market, Kimberly Jones and husband Keith of Fayetteville, NC and Crystal Pete of Fayetteville, NC, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother Gregory White and wife Cande of Berlin, and a sister Christine Foxwell and husband Bill of East New Market, and several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11 AM at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD.
