Thelma G. Budd, 93, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Birmingham, AL on May 31, 1926 and was a daughter of the late John Washington Maddox and Mary Deason Maddox.
Mrs. Budd graduated from school in Alabama and later went to nursing school to receive her LPN. On September 4, 1943, she married Edward Thomas Budd, Sr., who passed away on April 12, 1998. Mrs. Budd worked at Airpax and later at the Maryland Eastern Shore State Hospital Center. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, crocheting, and doing puzzles. Mrs. Budd was a member of the Bowling Association, and a past member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her granddaughters Cami Foxwell and husband Greg of Cambridge, Traci Dunn and husband Jeff of Cambridge, a daughter in law Nancy Werner of East New Market, four great grandchildren Celsea McCarter and husband Andrew, Katelyn Deisem and husband Jake, McKenna Dean, and Madison Dunn and a great great grandson Liam McCarter, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Edward T. Budd, Jr. and several brothers and sisters.
A private burial will take place with her husband in Parksley, VA. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
