Thelma F. Perry

Thelma F. Perry, 67 of Cambridge passed away at her home on Friday December 25, 2009. She was born in Cambridge on July 6, 1942 and was a daughter of the late William "Elmo" and Virginia Malkus Asmussen.

She attended schools in Easton and graduated from Easton High School in 1960. On November 2, 1968 she was married to George W. Perry. She had traveled with her husband while he was in the military for a number of years, and had lived in a number of locations. She had made her home in Cambridge since the early 1990's. She had worked at Western Publishing Corp. and had attended the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Cambridge. Mrs. Perry enjoyed painting, sewing and collecting antiques. She has been in failing health for the past two years when she passed away at her home on Friday morning.

Survivors include her husband George W. Perry of Cambridge two sons Kurt M. Perry and his wife Kim Perry of Trappe and Lantz W. Perry and his wife Susan Perry of Cambridge three grandchildren Paige Perry, Lily Perry and Sophia Perry. She is also survived by a brother Charles Asmussen of Trappe, one sister Phyllis Butler of Easton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson Nicolas Perry.

Private graveside services will be held at Old Trinity Churchyard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
