Theodore L. "Teddy" Bramble

Theodore L. "Teddy" Bramble, 72, of Woolford passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on June 4, 1938 and was a son of the late Solomon F. and Mary Lois Bramble.


He graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1957. Mr. Bramble was a school bus contractor for Dorchester County for 30 years and was a driver for 52 years. He also was owner/operator of numerous restaurants around Cambridge. Mr. Bramble also did some construction work and some farming. On February 25, 1968 he married the former Donna Robbins. He liked the New York Yankees and riding his motorcycle. He served as a Dorchester County Commissioner from 1974 until 1978. He also served as president of the Roads Board for Dorchester County. Mr. Bramble was a member of Milton United Methodist Church, past president of the Dorchester County School Bus Contractor Association and past president of the Dorchester County Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Cambridge Lodge #1272 B.P.O.E. Elks, the Cambridge Moose Lodge and the Church Creek Volunteer Fire Company. He was a past member Dorchester County Election Board and Draft Board.


He is survived by his wife of 42 years Donna R. Bramble of Woolford, a son Edwin L. Bramble and wife Ruth of Woolford, a daughter Robin Linthicum and husband Charles "Bo" Linthicum of Cambridge, 7 grandchildren Jon Linthicum, Steven Linthicum, Catherine Linthicum, Nathan Linthicum, Douglas Bramble, Eddie Bramble and Chris Bramble, a sister Joyce Balderson and husband James of Woolford, a brother Solomon F. Bramble, Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Kill Devil Hills, NC and several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Jon Linthicum, Steven Linthicum, Catherine Linthicum, Nathan Linthicum, Douglas Bramble, Eddie Bramble, Chris Bramble, Charles "Bo" Linthicum, Jason Coffman and Steve Mills, Jr.


A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Milton United Methodist Church in Woolford with Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. Burial will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
