Ted graced us for 88 years with his love. Ted was born in Johnstown, PA, December 21, 1925.
He faithfully and proudly served our Nation in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, Pacific Theater & honorably discharged in 1945. In Baltimore, attending Johns Hopkins University he was a chartered member of Delta Sigma Pi and was distinguished with High Honors in both business & law. He obtained his CPA degree and was designated as an Emeritus Life Associate by the Institute of Management Accountants. He excelled as President, CEO, at Cambridge International/Wire Cloth. He was an Early Bird member of the Cambridge American Legion Post 91 and a member of the Dorchester Center for the Arts. He was elected to the Board of Directors at the Bank of the Eastern Shore, an active member of the Cambridge Yacht Club, and Cambridge Country Club and the Legends Golf & Country Club of Fort Myers. Ted has blessed us all with a well-lived and love-filled life; he will be so dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Celi of 22 years, sister Mary, daughter, Carol Hiteshew & husband Walter, son, Mark Dragich & wife Vickie, step-children, Dr. Araceli Ziemba, Deborah Convery & husband David, and John Ziemba; grandchildren, Matthew Hiteshew & wife Jennifer, Luke Hiteshew & wife Susan, Diana Hiteshew, Lindsay Segal & husband Matt, and four great-grandchildren, Grace, Philip, Jacob, and Jack Hiteshew.
He was pre-deceased by first wife Dorothy, daughter Elizabeth, and three WWII Veteran brothers, Walter, George, and Pete.
A service of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 12 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church in Cambridge with Pastor Bob White officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 and one hour prior to the service at the church.
