Theodore John Wieciech was called home by the Lord on November 26 th , 2009.Ted was born on August 21 st , 1920 to Polish immigrants, Andrew and Aniela Wieciech. He was the 7 th and last surviving of their 8 children.

Ted served his country with distinction during World War II, achieving the rank of Sergeant and earning the Bronze Star for heroism in combat. After years of dedicated service to his country, Ted was employed by the Martin Marietta Company from 1946 until his retirement in 1963. Upon his retirement, he promptly began a career with the United States Postal Service, retiring with 22 years of service in 1985. Theodore was an active member of the VFW Post 10067, National Association of Letter Carriers a�" Oriole Branch 176 and the AFL-CIO. He served as a devoted church member and usher for Our Lady Queen of Peace from 1963 until illness prevented him from performing his duties.

Ted is survived by his wife, Nancy Jane (nee Maxey), his son Paul (Tina) Wieciech, and his daughter, Michelle (Randy) Price, his six grandchildren, Kerry Kingsley, Katie Rossi, Chelsea Price, Billy and Joshua Peterson, and Audrey Price and his two great-grandchildren, Madison and Meghan Kingsley.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 408 S. Chester Ave., Baltimore. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, 7300 German Hill Road, Baltimore.
