Theresa F. Harper, 93, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on July 31, 1922 and was a daughter of the late John Bell and Louise Bartlett Collison.
She attended schools in Cambridge. On July 12, 1952, she married Woodrow W. Harper, Sr. who passed away on April 8, 1975. Mrs. Harper was a house wife. She enjoyed cooking, baking, the Baltimore Orioles with Cal Ripken, Jr. being her favorite player, enjoyed the beauty of flowers and birds and going to the auctions.
She is survived by seven children Joyce Robbins of Cambridge, Linda White and husband Gary of Cambridge, Sue Vonitter and husband Bill of Nags Head, NC, Frances A. Harper of Cambridge, Woodrow Harper, Jr. and wife Donna of Secretary, Wally Harper of Cambridge, Katherine D. Applegarth and husband Tom of Church Creek, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and soon to be a great great grandson. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Harper is preceded in death by two sons in law Dorsey J. Robbins and George A. Jones, Jr and Frances Harper companion Herbert Hastings.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:30 at East New Market Cemetery with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
