Theresa M. (Moore) MacGrath

Theresa M. MacGrath, 62, of Elliott Island passed away on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Cambridge on December 23, 1958 to the late Sherwood Herman Moore and Aileen Hazel Thomas Moore.

Theresa graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1976.  On April 6, 1991, she married Steven MacGrath.  Theresa had a deep love of music, especially Elton John, the Rolling Stones, and Farm Dogs.  She enjoyed travelling, especially to new places she had never seen before, and trying new food – always sure to take a picture of it before trying it.  She loved her animals as well.  Theresa enjoyed reading, especially murder mysteries and fantasy books.  Above all else, Theresa loved her family.

Theresa is survived by her husband Steve of Elliott Island; their children Kayla MacGrath and partner Will Eckard of Lewes, DE, and Steven MacGrath, Jr. of Elliott Island; her cousins Paul Kelly and Jane Jones, as well as numerous extended family members.  Besides her parents, Theresa is preceded in death by her step father Bill Airey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Elliott Island Volunteer Fire Department Fire Hall, 2317 Elliott Island Rd,  from 2-7 PM.  Food will be provided, and masks will be required.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue 4930 Bucktown Rd.,  Cambridge MD 21613.  Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD.
