Thomas H. Maguire III, 69, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was born in Cambridge on July 5, 1940 and was a son of Annalie Brohawn Maguire and the late Thomas H. Maguire, Jr

.


He attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1959. He also attended Johns Hopkins University where he graduated in 1963. Tom had taught school in Baltimore City and later at North Dorchester High School, Cambridge High School and later at Maces Lane High School. He later worked in sales at Western Publishing and later for Tidewater Publishing until he retired. On February 15, 1969 he was married to the former Louise Jackson. Tom was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cambridge. He was treasurer for 9 years for the Baracca Class. He enjoyed playing music, singing and reading. He played lead guitar with the Local Country and the Local Gospel bands

Survivors include his wife Louise J. Maguire of Cambridge, two daughters Jacqueline Lynn Webber of Madison and Catherine Elizabeth Robinson and her husband Stephen Robinson of Cambridge, his mother Annalie B. Maguire of Severna Park, seven grandchildren Hannah Laurel Webber, Matthew Thomas Webber, Lucas Edward Webber, Logan Robert Robinson, Chyenne Louise Robinson, Brice and Grabriel Robinson. He is also survived by a sister Nancy M. Densmore of Severna Park and a niece Linda Barstow of Severna Park and a nephew Kevin Densmore of California

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Hurley and Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
