Thomas K. LaPerch

Thomas K. LaPerch passed away on July 21, 2018, shortly after his 27th birthday.  He is mourned by his mother, Margaret “Betsy” Malkus, his grandmother Margaret Anne Malkus and his brother Richard (Jess) LaPerch, nephew Connor Hayden and nieces Livie and Jocelynne; his uncle Fred Malkus III, his aunt Susan Malkus (Phil Brown) and cousins Katie and Maddie Brown.

Thomas was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia until 2003, when the family moved to Cambridge.  While attending school here, he was voted Freshman Class President and attended Boy’s State.  Thomas enjoyed playing lacrosse and soccer before graduating from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.  He will be remembered for his verve and zest for life.

Rev. Bonnie Shively will officiate the memorial service to be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 12 PM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cambridge.  Family will receive friends at St. Paul’s beginning at 11 AM.  Interment will be held at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to dri-dock.org in in Cambridge or to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, General Fund, 205 Maryland Ave., Cambridge, MD 21613.
