Thomas E. Robbins

Thomas E. Robbins, 53, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on November 19, 1957 and was a son of the late Alice Faye Robbins Laird and his grandparents who raised him James Leonard and Elizabeth Robbins.

He attended Cambridge Senior High School where he played several different sports. Mr. Robbins worked from Carpenter Mill Wrights Local 2012 in Seaford, DE. He was also a former owner of TomCat's Saloon. Mr. Robbins enjoyed all types of sports and spending time with family. He was a Union Member of Local 2012.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Robbins of Cambridge, two sons David Stewart and Tommy Robbins Stewart both of Cambridge, a brother Gary Forrest Laird of Cambridge, a sister Viki Fisher of Washington State, a stepson Chris Harp and wife Julie of East New Market, a stepdaughter Jeni Hughes of Cambridge, a special aunt Shirley Dayton of Cambridge, uncle Jim Robbins and wife Jean of North Carolina, Aunts Eve Burchette and husband J.T. of Knoxville, TN, Kaye Chalk and husband Gary of Westminister, Louise Bradshaw of Trappe and Hazel Wilkinson of North Carolina and several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Robbins is preceded in death by a brother Mickey Laird, two aunts Dot Ellis and Mildred Wright and a cousin Marci Dayton. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Mr. James Dayton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Thomas E. Robbins name to the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help with funeral expense.
