Thurman L. Cannon, Sr

Thurman L. Cannon, Sr., 62, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was born in Cambridge on February 23, 1951 and was a son of Doris Robbins Cannon and the late Audry L. Cannon.

He attended schools in Cambridge. Thurman served in the Army National Guard. On November 18, 1995 he married Catherine Bradley. He own and operated C&C Painting. Thurman enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, crabbing, fishing and target shooting. He attended Cambridge Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his wife Catherine J. Cannon of Cambridge, his children Thurman Cannon, Jr. of Cambridge, Patricia Fontaine and husband Scott of Cambridge, Joseph Cannon of Georgia, Krystal Sheeler and husband Bobby of Cambridge, Jennifer Tinsley and husband Jud of Cambridge, several grandchildren, his mother Doris L. Cannon of Cambridge, two brothers Wesley M. Cannon and wife Jo and Kenneth P. Cannon and wife Jeri all of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Mr. Cannon is preceded in death by a brother Alan G. "Dusty" Cannon.

Pallbearers will be Rick Rossy, Mike Rossy, Danny Mills, Keith Elzey, Gene Harper and Thurman Cannon, Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Jack Diehl officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
