Toni M. "Mickie" Malick

Toni M. "Mickie" Malick, 60, of Federalsburg passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

She was born in Easton on May 10, 1953 to James Thomas and the late Betty Sue Thomas. In 1998 she married Michael L. Malick and joined him at Maple Lane Farm where she found joy in renovating their Civil War era home, tending their garden, and exploring their tree conservation. Mickie was an insurance agent for over 25 years at Schauber Van Schaik Insurance. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1971 and obtained her Associates degree from Chesapeake College in 1993. Mickie found happiness spending time with her family, helping her community, and visiting the beach.

She is survived by her children Sara (Bowman) Tanski, Zachary Bowman, and Adora Bowman; her granddaughter Naomi Cook; her father James Thomas; her brothers Theodore and Timothy Thomas; and was preceded in death by her brother Mike Thomas.

A celebration service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Cambridge Wesleyan Church in Cambridge with Rev. Jack Diehl officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cambridge Wesleyan Church Helping Committee, c/o Mrs. Paulette Meekins, 1108 Race St., Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
