Virginia M. (Moore) Abbott

Virginia M. Abbott, 98, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Cambridge on September 19, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Madeline Tregoe Moore.
She attended schools in Cambridge. On November 7, 1936, she married William R. “Jack” Abbott, who passed away on July 5, 1999. She worked at Airpax.
She is survived by a daughter Barbara Tyler and husband Paul of Cambridge, a son William R. “Jack Abbott III of Cambridge, two grandchildren Steven E. Abbott of Delmar and Paul T. Tyler of Westminster, 5 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, a sister Dolores Kelly of Seminole, FL and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded death by two brothers Glenwood Moore and Donald Moore and two sisters Geraldine Galit and Sylvia Kinnamon.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11 am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
