Virginia Cusick, 87, of Huntsville, AL passed away Wednesday. Mrs. Cusick was the loving wife of Herbie E. Cusick, who preceded her in death. She was the mother of six, grandmother of twenty and great-grandmother of twelve.

Her joys in life included caring for young children in her home and in the church nursery. She was an active member of Valley United Methodist Church prior to her decline due to Alzheimer's Disease. League bowling brought her great joy and many rewards.

Survivors include children, Valerie and husband Brian Westfall of Cumberland, MD, Sharon and deceased husband Bob Hempler of Houston, TX, Deborah and husband Art, Lampe of St. Louis, MO, and Beverly and husband Perry Johnson of Huntsville, Wayne and wife Lucy Cusick of Doraville, GA and Denise and husband Gene Wooden, of Brownsboro.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Tatum officiating. She will join her husband in burial in the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Hurlock, Maryland on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
