Walter Allan Atkinson

Walter A. Atkinson, 49, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home. He was born in Baltimore on December 27, 1966 to Elizabeth “Betty” Campbell and the late Alvin Atkinson.
Mr. Atkinson worked as a welder for most of his career. Walter enjoyed history, grass cutting, collecting and shooting guns, tinkering and fixing things, spending time on the water and enjoying time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Ann Atkinson of Cambridge, a son Joshua Atkinson of Cambridge, a daughter Melissa Atkinson of Cambridge, a grandson Nathan Mastronardi of Preston, his mother Betty Perdue and husband Bill of Baltimore, siblings Debbie Burris of Cincinnati, OH, Cindy Solesky and husband Ken of Baltimore and Laurie Atkinson of NC, his mother in law Dorothy McGainey of Baltimore, good friends Bruce MacSorley of Cambridge and Ken Sorteberg of Towson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Atkinson.
As per Walters’ request there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
