Wanda L. (Powley) Elzey

Wanda L. Elzey, 70, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cambridge on May 20, 1951 and was the daughter of Rose Parks Ruark and the late Omro Powley.

Mrs. Elzey graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1969. She worked at Airpax, and later worked at the Orthopedic Center in Easton and retired in 2012. Mrs. Elzey enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and walking. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Elzey was a member of Cambridge Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her husband David Elzey, Sr., two children David Elzey, Jr. (Kim) and Kimberly Turner (Kris); granddaughters Savannah Elzey, Chloe Turner and Macy Turner, her mother Rose Ruark, mother in law June Elzey and an aunt Sara Brooks. Besides her father, Mrs. Elzey is preceded in death by her grandparents Dora and Albert "Jake" Parks, her stepfather Edgar "Ed" Ruark and two aunts Rebecca Foxwell and Carolyn Webb.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1 pm at the Cambridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating.
