Warren Gordon Foxwell

Warren Gordon Foxwell, age 76, of Oak Hall, VA passed away on February 18, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.  He was the son of the late Lennie and Nora Ewell Foxwell of Elliott Island, MD. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Harriet Foxwell of Mardela Springs, MD as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Roger Lee Foxwell of Laurel, DE and Mace Foxwell of Crisfield, MD.

He was raised on Elliott Island where he helped run Miss Nora’s store.  He graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1957. He went on to work at the State House in Annapolis where he retired in 1996.  During his 30+ year tenure, he never missed a day. He was an active member of Elliott Island United Methodist Church where he played the piano for over 53 years. Upon moving to Oak Hall, VA, he joined Downings United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing and fellowship as part of the congregation. Warren loved to recite poetry, to exercise and to read.  He also enjoyed reminiscing with friends and acquaintances.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Elliott Island Church on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 am.
